Landscape format In order to maintain the required page margins for tables or figures, it may be necessary to print them in landscape format. The top margin will now be the edge that is bound. However, the page number must be placed on the page as though the page was in portrait format.
It needs to appear in the same location and have the same text direction as the other portrait pages. See the Formatting PowerPoint for additional help and examples. Figure Captions If space permits, the caption should appear on the same page as the figure.
Font size must not be smaller than 9 point. Any of the standard style manuals may be used as a guide in formatting references to works cited in the thesis. References may be placed at the end of the main text, or at the end of each chapter. Whatever format is chosen, it must be followed consistently throughout the thesis. If you are not following a style manual, please single space within each entry and double space between the entries.
Page Numbering Reference pages are numbered. Use the next consecutive page number of your document for your references. All material included in the appendices must meet minimum font and margin requirements.

Remove unwanted spaces, breaks, tabs and sections to create clean text ready for formatting. Set margins, breaks, columns, headers, footers, orientation and page numbering. Set up title page, copyright, glossary, chapters, headings, appendices, to make structure and navigation clear. Style main text, headings levels, lists, numbering and quotations consistently throughout. Present all table data in a manner that is both clear and consistent with the content.
Size, crop, straighten, rotate, reshape or wrap images to work best with the text on each page. Number each figure, table, chart or diagram with the correct label and cross-reference. Include fully dynamic lists of contents, figures and tables with page numbers as required.
Create or style footnotes or endnotes that link to numbered instances on each page. Format numerical and parenthetical bibliography entries.
